Big Ben Would Be Big Coup For Rangers

The Rangers have made half-hearted efforts for years to sign that big ace on the mound. The club really hasn't been able to do that since landing Nolan Ryan in 1989. It's been pretty slim pickings since then. Ironically, Nolan could help turn the tide again, this time from the front office.

Signing Ben Sheets would do a lot for this organization.

The skeptics will say that Sheets is injured too often and won't be a reliable guy...

Although the last local professional sports championship win was a decade ago when the Dallas Stars won the Stanley Cup, it has been about two decades since all of our area teams missed the post-season in the same season.
