Reports out of Austin are that running back Tre' Newton, who suffered a mild concussion, and Vondrell McGee (left shoulder) are day-to-day heading into the Red River Shootout this weekend.

Newton, the son of former Cowboy Nate Netwon, has rushed 41 times for 204 yards and three touchdown this season. Just a freshman, he was promoted to the teams 1st team back after the Longhorns win against Texas Tech.
