Cowboy's owner Jerry Jones said yesterday that he turned down an offer for one of his young players before Tuesday's trade deadline and today reports indicate that player was Tight End Martellus Bennett. "I just think that's part of this league and part of things going on the NFL," Bennett says. "I'm happy to be a Cowboy. This is where I want to be so thank you Jerry." The Cincinnati Bengals were apparently the team trying to acquire his rights. Bennett was a second round draft pick of the Cowboys in 2008. "For the most part, you never know what's going to happen at any time," says Bennett. "Trades happen. People swap people for other people and things like that, so I'm just blessed to be in a situation where anyone wants me." Jones turned down whatever the offer the Bengals had on the table but Jones did say he was offered at least one premium draft pick for Bennett. "I don't feel pressure," he says. "I don't pressure myself to do anything. I just do my job and do what they ask me to do every day." 5 CommentsLeave a comment |

Done Deal!! Bennett and Romo for Carson Palmer! Jerry will even throw in a couple dozen donuts to sweeten the deal!!!!!
Doesn't matter. Jerry will find a way to screw
up the team Parcels left him. He screwed up the team that Jimmy Johnson left him. It took Parcels to turn that around. The team will get weaker every year until he lets a football man run the team.
They had a good team, and they will be good again, they have got to remember that they are a team not a individual trying to better themselves like T.O. They are a team...play like a team, And we will get better and better every game. Don't pass on a screw up, if you screwed up admit it fix it and don't do it again....
How about a trade for some O-linement that don't commit penatlies every few downs?
Has anyone at valley ranch figured it out that if you make Tony a pocket passer he can't play? Or is that we feel sorry for an offensive line that is not athletic enough to stay with that type of quaterback. Yes Tony is a gunslinger, but let him sling. Flozell Adams is not mature enough to handle his business. How about a fine of 100k per panalty. And crybaby Crayton is trying to figure out why nobody told him he was not the starter? Please....the cowboys have been trying to get Austin ready for 2 years....oh and fumbling or missing easy passes....lets trade crayton for a couple of draft picks along with Hurd. One last thing....Jerry you are a fantastic business man...but not a football coach...let find a GM..OK?
