Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking says there are plenty of people in the Falcons organization that he still cares about deeply, but he said jokingly he still wants to "bash their heads in" Sunday. The Senoia, Ga native played 11 seasons for the Falcons, after graduating from Georgia Tech. He's all about Atlanta football. He's also incredibly emotional on the football field: see his head-butt into the chest of linebackers coach Reggie Herring after a key 4th down stop in the Denver game. Brooking says he'll have to be measured emotionally against a familar foe, "I have played in big time games before where I do get too emotional, too pumped up and it kinda takes me out of my game," he said. "So, I've gotta be mentally sharp to where the emotion doesn't take me out of that part of my game, and just play football." Brooking also notes its a conference game and it'll be big come the end of the season when the playoff picture develops more. I'll be watching him on the sidelines; I'm expecting a show. |
