I just got this e-mail from the UIL - remember last year, they played the 5A championship games at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

Alamodome Selected to Host 2009 UIL 5A Football Championships

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TX-- The 2009 UIL Conference 5A Division I and Division II state football championships will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, the UIL announced Friday.

After soliciting bids from venues, the UIL considered all proposals submitted and selected the Alamodome to host the two championship games on December 19, 2009. This marks the third time the Alamodome has hosted these championships. The Alamodome was the site for the 2006 and 2007 5A Football Finals.

The Conference 5A Division I championship game will be held at 2 p.m., followed by the Division II championship game at 7 p.m. on December 19.
