Cowboys captains have been named

The Cowboys voted their official captains for the 2009 season. Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Bradie James and DeMarcus Ware will be the guys headed out for the coin flip.

Coach Wade Phillips also said there would be 5th captain throughout the season that would rotate. It will represent a special teams player.
Romo, Witten, and James were captains last season, with Ware being the only new addition.

Blazer football beat writer talks SMU at UAB

SMU won their first opener since 2000 on Saturday night with a win against Stephen F. Austin.

Shawnbrey McNeal, a day after hearing from the NCAA that he was eligible to play in 2009, rushed for over 150 yards on 19 carries.

This week, SMU will travel to UAB for an early C-USA battle with the Blazers.
