Today Jerry Jones saying that 2nd year cornerbacks Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins will be co-starters. Jenkins will start the season opener against the Bucs and Scandrick the home opener against the Giants. They'll both see plenty of time no matter who starts because they're both in on the nickel...
The best thing about this final preseason game will be the final gun. Then we can cut all the pretense and get down to the games that count. In the meantime, though, there are jobs to be won and NFL rosters to be made. The Cowboys have to trim their roster to the league-manated 53 by tomorrow afternoon at 3pm. I'm sure everyone has seen it by now, but here is the punch heard around the world this morning! We are not even into the heart of week one in college football and we already have thrown a wrench into the BCS' plans. Boise State, who was ranked higher than Oregon, knocked off the Ducks and now have what some are saying a road to another undefeated season. Could the Broncos be a BCS buster again this January? It's looking like it at this point. How crazy would the world of college football be if BYU somehow upset Oklahoma at Jerry...
Just received this press release from the Texas Rangers: The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Willie Eyre from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Eyre (#55) will be in uniform and available for tonight's series opener in Baltimore. Additionally, right-handed pitcher Thomas Diamond has been acquired by Chicago-NL on a waiver claim from Texas. FoxSport's Ken Rosenthal wants to buy the Texas Rangers. That is if he had enough money. With their success this season and youth, it's no surprise to see more and more national media outlets jumping on the bandwagon. "Hate to jinx the Rangers, whose history is rather tortured. But it will be difficult for the next rich ... Boise State beat Oregon 19-8 last night .... and here we go!
