TCU Athletic Director going to NFL

Danny Morrison, TCU's athletic director since 2005, has accepted a job to be president of the Carolina Panthers. Team owner Jerry Richardson had to replace his son, who resigned unexpectedly.

Impressions from Valley Ranch

I was out at Valley Ranch for the first time since the draft in April, which actually sounds worse than it is, considering they held OTA's at Standridge Stadium in Carrollton after the indoor facility collapsed. But I hadn't been out there since the team returned from San Antonio. A couple of impressions....

Five bucks will get you to cowboys stadium from Fort Worth

So where is Dallas Area Rapid Transit? The Fort Worth Star Telegram says today that the Fort Worth Transportation Authority will offer football fans a more economical way to get to Dallas Cowboys games by providing $5 round-trip bus service from downtown Fort Worth.

It's not a new idea. DART used to provide that kind of service to Texas Stadium. It was called the Cowboy Flyer, express bus service from park & ride lots around the area ...



Loss of Michael Young makes road to playoffs a lot tougher

The Texas Rangers are waiting for some good news today. Sure they remain in the playoff hunt, but losing third baseman Michael Young with a hamstring injury is a tough loss.

He has an MRI scheduled for later today after he strained his left hamstring running out a grounder in the third inning of the nightcap of a doubleheader.
