The Mavericks had their summer league's first practice today. Some familiar faces, such as Rodrigue "Roddie" Beaubois and Ahmad Nivins, were present.

There was another figure that stood out in the group, Moussa Seck. He's the 7ft 4in center who traveled all the way from Senegal to take his shot at trying to make the Maverick's roster for next season.

Though the Maverick's can only take one or two out of the 18 players on the team, I wouldn't doubt that they would be taking a very close look at Seck. Height is always a serious advantage when playing basketball. Just to give you an idea of how tall he is, it almost seemed like he only had to jump just six or seven inches to make a dunk.
