« Rangers bull pen showing improvement |

| TCU-Notre Dame in 2010 the kind of matchup college football needs »
It's not a good night when you win a game, but still lose ground in the standings. Texas won its third straight game last night to move back to 10 games over .500, but the LA Angeles were busy sweeping a double header to move 3 games in front of the Rangers. Still, this recent mini-winning streak improves the Rangers July record to 10-6 (this after going 11-15 in June). As the trade deadline nears, what should the Rangers do? Should they mortgage their future, trade some of their young talent and make a run this year? Or should they make a run with their current roster, keep the future intact, and hope this is the beginning of a several-season run of winning teams? My vote is to keep things the same. The Rangers are building something that might be special. I know it's tempting, and sometimes very wise, to take your shot when you have the chance, because nothing is guaranteed ... but in this situation I would do nothing major. |
