I was talkin' with some friends at TPC Craig Ranch the other day, and Hunter Mahan's name came up. The Plano native plays at Craig Ranch often and I think he's made it his home course.

I mentioned how well he's played this year, and after a little bit of research work leading up to the British Open, I found this delicious tid bit all North Texas linksters should know.

There are 3 golfers who've finished in the top 10 in the year's first two Majors - I'm sure you know one, maybe even, two, but the third would surprise most.

Those 3 are Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Hunter Mahan. So, kudos to the Plano native, and why can't the Open championship be his?

Did any of you have Angel Cabrera and Lucas Glover in the Masters and U.S. Open pools?

Been a wacky year for the majors, but don't be too surprised if the Claret Jugs is headed for North Texas.

I'm on vacation, and there will be plenty golf watching in my immediate future.
