The Orlando Sentinel reports that the Orlando Magic are prepared to match the Mavericks' offer sheet for center Marcin Gortat.

That means the Magic would retain Gortat, and wouldn't be able to trade him until December.

The Mavericks did not expect the Magic to match their five-year $34 million offer sheet, and since Brandon Bass also signed with the Magic, the Mavs now have serious front-court questions.

Mavs center Ryan Hollins remains unsigned.
