Nebraska: This team should challenge for the North title this year, but coach Bo Pelini and his players know that's not enough for Husker fans. Pelini said he understands those expectations, and especially wants the defensive side of the ball to improve.

Father of SMU football player Justin Willis dies

The father of SMU record-setting quarterback Justin Willis was fatally shot while in
Dallas. Samuel Willis of Denton was the victim of a home invasion murder late Friday at a residence he was visiting. He was 46.

Sandra Willis says her husband was a psychiatric technician and counseled adolescents dealing with substance abuse problems.

Dallas Police say one was arrested and the investigation continues.

Michael Vick is reinstated to play football

Michael Vick has been reinstated to play football again in the Natiional Football League. The announcement came from the commissioner's office.

The former Falcons quarterback will not be full reinstated until Week 6 of the regular season.

Vick met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell last week. He was released from home confinement one week ago today.
