Romo fine with not making 'highlight' plays

Tony Romo insists he's still having fun, but is fine with not being seen on SportsCenter so much.

WFAA sports photojournalist Arnold Payne asked Romo if was still having fun during Romo's chat with the media after the second Cowboys practice Monday during minicamp.

Romo says he feels fortunate to be doing what he does for a living.

Then when asked about how he's trying to improve this season, he talked about his footwork and the adjustments he's trying to make, including turning the ball over less.

"That's all I look for is a throw away play," Romo said jokingly, "so I can go back and be congratulated by my coaches."

Romo, asked if trying to contain his mistakes would take away his "highlight" plays, said, "Highlight plays don't win championships."

Sounds like Jimmy Johnson's old line: "It's not who makes the most big plays, it's who makes the fewest mistakes."
