Cowboys work punt team, a lot

The Dallas Cowboys want to improve their punt unit, so much so they've brought in a second punter just so they can do some extra work.

Pro Bowl punter Mat McBriar is back from his broken foot and is punting well, but the team still brought in Matt Fodge to pooch the ball around.

Fodge won the Ray Guy Award as the best punter in college last year at Oklahoma State, but he's clearly not at the same level as McBriar. The Garland HS product has had several short wobbly punts, compared to McBriar's soaring deep ones.

But the addition of Fodge, who coach Wade Phillips said is here for just this minicamp, is allowing the Cowboys to work on two punt units at once.
