The NCAA will reach a decision, later today, which may force the Alabama football program to surrender victories from the 2005-2007 seasons. The Birmingham News and ESPN report that during those years, players improperly got free textbooks for other students. Alabama may have to vacate at least 21 victories from their record. The players involved in the scandal were starting linemen Antoine Caldwell and Marlon Davis, running back Glen Coffee and defensive backs Chris Rogers and Marquis Johnson. There has been no news yet concerning what former coach Mike Shula and current coach Nick Saben have to do with the issue. The following is a list of how many wins Alabama has had from 2005-2007 2005 - 10 wins 2006 - 6 wins 2007 - 7 wins Though Alabama has won a total of 23 games, the university began to uncover the issue in 2007 and suspended the players for four of the games.
