When push comes to shove, Cuban should back off

cubbie.jpgEveryone seems intent on analyzing whether Mark Cuban pushed or shoved a local photojournalist following the Mavs' heartbreaking and shocking defeat in Game 3 of their playoff series with Denver.

Does it really matter? Aren't we just talking semantics here?

Cuban has a troubling and disturbing history of being too close to the game and the team he owns, both emotionally and physically. At times, in comparison, he makes Jerry Jones appear distant and uninterested in his own team.

Did Cuban have every reason to be irate after the dreadful "non call" on Antoine Wright in the final seconds on Saturday? Absolutely. One hundred percent. But his postgame behavior left many Mavs fans feeling ashamed and even uglier, in the wake of his actions.

Supposedly calling out Kenyon Martin's mother after the game, face to face, and calling her son a punk? Inexcusable. That's pure adrenaline and frustration and one of these days, Cuban is going to mess with someone he shouldn't after a game....whether it's a fan or an opposing player and things could get extremely ugly.

And you wonder why David Stern has it in for him? You wonder why all those Mavs conspiracy theories float around out there?

Does the league want Cuban and his team to lose? Probably not. But the radar has been up for years now, because the owner invites scrutiny and probing through his own actions. Saturday was no different.

You just hope Cuban learns from his mistakes. One day.

Hell no! I hope Cuban continues to do what he has always done...hes a great owner and he gives the fans a fun team to cheer for.

What wrong with him verbally sparing with another person? He sure as hell doesn't back down from anyone. I think that's great! Maybe the players should adopt that same fiery personality that he has.

Cuban keep doing what your doing...don't back down. This is one MFFL who loves every minute of it!

Why should he back down and give the sugar coated, politically correct version everybody expects? I applaud his passion and attitude and wish everybody was more like him. If the media didn't act like the stupid papparazzi idiots they are they wouldn' get cameras shoved out of their faces. Report the news don't try to sensationalize it and make it.

I'm a Cuban fan.

The reporter should have put the camera down and busted that fag in the face.

GO MARK! WE LOVE YOU! Jeff, what kind of drugs do you do? Mark Cuban, a Fag???? Not hardly!
Quit making yourself look stupid by making remarks like that.

Hey David Marcus, your remarks are uncalled for. It's media idiots like you that like to EMBELLISH the facts and create havoc. Obviously, you are DESPERATE for something to write about. This is really a pathetic story. I know literally THOUSANDS of fans that are NOT embarassed or ashamed of Mark Cuban.

Cuban's nothing more than a jerk. He's an egomaniac who will NEVER bring an NBA title until he grows up and acts mature and rids this team of losers like Josh Howard.

Swinging at cameramen??? Come on, Cuba. You're a media slut. You depend on the media to survive - and now you abuse them like that? You know better.

But your love affair with Dirk hasn't paid off. You got rid of Steve Nash who then went on to win two MVPs while you have the biggest choke-job in history to claim your own (the Miami series).

It's a good thing Cuban benefited from the dot-com bubble because this is a guy who wouldn't have been successful at any other period in history. But now we're stuck with a teenager running the NBA franchise of Dallas.

BillyBob said:

Hey rocketman9495, how's that Tracy Mcgrady trade working out for you?

Oh, that's right...it hasn't.

Don't even start dude...your team hasn't done anything close to what the Mavs have done in the past decade.

Mark Cuban Rocks! What I'm tired of is reporters, news writers, and sports analysts who's opinions are so far off it just hurts to read. Just report what happened and stop giving your commentary. It's like you guys don't think we can think without you telling us how to think. Cuban, stay Cuban, otherwise you would just be another boring rich stuck up basketball team owner who only cares about profits. We are with you till then end!
