Rangers winning like never before

The Texas Rangers have won like this before, but not this way. Almost every game their starting pitching is giving 'em a chance to win and the way they usually hit a chance is about all they need.

Closer Frank Francisco goes on the disabled list with a sore arm, so somebody else does the job.

Six games at home and they win all six and lead the AL West now by 4 and a half. Their magic number to clinch is down to 121.

The Rangers won again Sunday. That's 7 straight now, their longest streak since May 4 years ago. They've won 13 of their last 15; sweep the Mariners and now the Angels.

The look good, don't they Dale. The ? is, how long before you start to dog on them and the fans for having a little hope. After all you are the hope killer in this town.

Na, Dale is the realist regarding our local teams here in the DFW area. Look the Rangers are doing GREAT, and believe me I have been waiting along time for the Rangers to play GREAT Team Ball. With that said, lets wait till the All-Star Break before we start thinking ahead regarding Magic Numbers, Division, and so on. Lets just enjoy the ride and not get carried away. Afterall, Dallas/Fort Woth are cities that falls for a team real fast just to be disappointed later. Dale I enjoy your blogs as well as your Sports on WFAA.

Actually the Rangers "Magic Number" is 122. You have to subtract from 163 in case of a tie for the division. So 163 (Total games plus 1) - 23 (Rangers wins) - 18 (Angels losses) = 122. I'll hang up and listen. Go Rangers.

I'm loving this. Magic number down to 121. Now that's optimism lol. But seriously, this is great to see the Rangers play such great team ball. I keep expecting them to lose a game to a division foe (i know they lost 2 so far to Oakland) but it seems like we just keep beating them all down. No quicker way to pick up games than against division opponents. GO RANGERS!!
