Rangers' Harrison throws shutout

Pitching makes a big difference. The first-place Texas Rangers are finding that out.

It's even better when you get shutout from a guy at the bottom of the rotation.

Matt Harrison (3-2) pitched a complete game and didn't give up a run Friday night in Chicago.

He gave up only 4 hits and had 5 strikeouts as the Rangers won 6-0.

Pitching makes a big difference.

The bad news for the Rangers is third baseman Michael Young left the game in the 5th with stiffness in his back.

The Rangers now lead the A.L. West by 1.5 games.

Pitching. Pitching. Pitching.
