According to Yahoo Sports: DH Hank Blalock was not in the lineup for the fourth time in the last six games. Granted, two of those missed starts were in an NL park and since he's been relegated to being a DH, his presence isn't as certain when the DH rule isn't in effect. But the Rangers returned to AL rules for this week's series against the Yankees, and Wednesday the Rangers chose to go without Blalock for the second consecutive day. Blalock has met with manager Ron Washington about the move, though Blalock's desire to play every day has led him to the manager's office whenever he's not in the lineup. Washington explained that he wanted to get Andruw Jones in the lineup on Wednesday since Jones was 9-for-32 with 12 walks in his career against Yankees starter RHP A.J. Burnett. Blalock, on the other hand, was 1-for-10 against him. Jones ended up going 1-for-4. (Yahoo! Sports)
