Phillips wants Cowboys to be special

Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips like one new addition to his team: Speical teams coach Joe DeCamillis.

"I think he's the best. I think he's the best in the league," Phillips said. "He's a great coach."

That's pretty high praise and from what I've seen it's well earned.

Phillips said improving special teams is a priority for this team, and one they used as an approach in the draft.

"What we did is pick football players who could help us on special teams," Phillips said.

He says special teams is just as important as the two other phases of the game.

"We're gonna try to be really good on offense, defense and special teams."

To emphasis that, he listed the three units in different orders several times.

"Special team is not going to be the and anymore.," he said.
