More from the Mavs

Quotes from the Mavericks ... they leave for Denver tomorrow morning, series begins Sunday.

Rick Carlisle: "Well Denver's younger than us, but they've got a lot of experience on their team. I don't think there's anybody in their rotation that isn't a 4-5 year player in the league, and at that point you can basically say that guys are real veterans. So, we're going to have to be smart, we're going to have to use our experience to our advantage, but I don't know that we are that much older and wiser than Denver's team from top to bottom."

Dirk Nowitzki (about Kenyon Martin): "He's probably one of the toughest defenders on my position, just in the power forward spot, just because he's tough. He's got quick hands, got a great slap-down, but he's also big and he's quick on his feet, so he can still stay down and contest the shots. So to me he's one of the best defending power forwards there is in the league. It should be fun. The best always brings the best out in other guys, so I'm going to keep playing my game, you know, they're going to mix it up, they're going to switch some on the screen and rolls. I don't think there's anything they can do that I haven't seen in my 11 years in the league, so, like I said, they'll be a lot more physical than in the San Antonio series, but I think I've seen that too over the years, so I don't think there's anything new they can throw at me that I haven't seen."
