Some quotes from the Mavericks today....

Jason Terry: "This is not going to be a short series. I think it's going to be a long one, espeically game one. Game one sets the tempo for the whole series."

Jason Kidd (about Chauncey Billups): "I think he's one of the most underrated point guards. When you talk about the young guns and Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Rondo, you never hear Billups' name mentioned. He's won a championship, he's the MVP of that series so I think he sometimes flies under the radar and he's a lot better than some of those other guys."

Rick Carlisle (responding to a question about what jumped out at him about the 4 games the Mavs played with Denver this year): "That we were 0-4... and stuggled with them. They're a tough matchup, not just for us but for everybody. That stuff at this point, I don't know how relavant it really is. There were injuries, there were a lot of different things going on during the year, and so it's a new start. But, these guys are the number two seed for a reason. They're a damn good basketball team."

Carlisle: "It's a different level of athlete that we're going to see from top to bottom. Denver is long, athletic, you know, they're a great rebounding team. They really did a number on New Orleans on the boards, I think they were plus-5 per game on the boards."
