The Mavericks were able to overcome an 8-0 Denver run late in the third quarter to tie the game at 85-all. But they went cold after that to trail the Nuggets by 5 at the half, 90-to-85.

JJ Barea provided a spark for Dallas with a pair of layups, the first on an assit by Dirk Nowitzki. His second tied the game at 85 all.

Carmelo Anthony scored 14 for Denver in the third quater to give him 32 for the night.

The Nuggets shooting percentage took a hit. They're at 47 percent while Dallas has moved ahead at 48 percent.
