The Mavericks faced a series sweep against the Nuggets tonight and responded with a win 119-to-117. It was their first win in the series and the first of the season against Denver. Dallas still trails 3-1 in the series. No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit Dirk Nowitzki was a clutch player down the stretch. His 14-footer with 1:05 left in the game gave Dallas the lead for good. He scored 6 points in the final 1:47 of the game. He finished with 44 points and 13 rebounds. The game was close to getting out of hand. Dallas had 5 technical fouls. Denver had three. The crowd was the best the American Airlines Center has seen in a while and that seemed to help the Mavericks extend this series to a fifth game. Game five is Wednesday night in Denver. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
