Not much of a first quarter for these two teams. Dallas shot only 36 percent while the Nuggets shot 25 percent. At one point, Denver's shooting percentage was down to just 11 percent.

But despite a terrible start by Denver, they still managed to tie Dallas at the end of the first quarter at 20-all.

Dallas is doing a much better job in the paint than than they did in the first two games.

Josh Howard had 5 points in the first quarter, 4 on layups. Dirk Nowitzki has 8 and shows no signs of being distracted from his off the court problems.
