Josh Howard's right sprained right ankle is basically the same report as for Erick Dampier in the first quarter... So just substitute what I wrote for Damp with Howard and second quarter and right ankle.

Dallas Mavericks center Erick Dampier suffered a left ankle sprain and went back to the locker room early in the first quarter of the Mavs second-round playoff opener with the Denver Nuggets.

ABC reported he got re-taped, but did not get any X-Rays.

Damp quickly returned to the court.
