The Dallas Mavericks are nothing if not resilient. After falling into the same trap of turnovers and losing early lead in first quarter the Mavs showed poise in the second. Of course it helps when you get a poor shot decision with the clock winding down by J.R. Smith that led to a Jason Kidd last-second three pointer to bring the Mavs within three at the half, 58-55. The Nuggets led by as much as 11 in the quarter. Here's your key stat: The Mavs had five turnovers in the first quarter and none in the second. The Nuggets were up 30-22 after one. Dirk Nowtizki leads the Mavs with 17 points and Smith also has 17 to lead the Nuggets. Should be an interesting second half.
