The big question coming into this game for the Dallas Mavericks was would Dirk Nowitzki be focused on basketball.

By now we all know the story, a woman who has been living with him, Cristal Taylor, was arrested earlier this week. I'm not rehash the entire story here, now. But it lead to questions over if Dirk would be mentally ready for Game 3 of the playoff series with the Denver Nuggets, who lead 2-0.

Well, Dirk responded early. He scored the first four points of the game and had eight for the quarter to go with six rebounds in just eight minutes on the floor. He was four for five shooting from the field.

So far, it looks like Dirk is just fine.

The Mavs and Nuggets are tied, 20-20, after one quarter.
