Cowboys bring WR Jefferson back

The Dallas Cowboys signed three players to their roster today: Scott Chandler, a tight end, Derreck Robinson, a defensive end, and wide receiver Mike Jefferson, who played with the Cowboys last season.

Jefferson, spent his rookie season on the Cowboys practice squad and bounced between the team's practice squad and active roster at the beginning of 2008. He was released on October 28 and spent the remainder of the season ...

Dallas Mavericks guard Jose Juan Barea underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to repair a cartilage injury to his left shoulder. The surgery was performed in Dallas by Dr. Richard Levy of Texas Sports Medicine. A timetable for his return has not been set.

Jerry Jones seems fairly certain that Greg Ellis will not be a member of the Dallas Cowboys this season ("probably likely" in his words).

DH Hank Blalock was not in the lineup for the fourth time in the last six games. Granted, two of those missed starts were in an NL park and since he's been relegated to being a DH, his presence isn't as certain when the DH rule isn't in effect. Report: Hicks could sell majority stake in Rangers

Texas Rangers owner Tom Hicks isn't ruling out selling a majority share of the team.

The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports Hicks as saying he is selling part of the Rangers, but didn't know how big a part.
