Say what? Broadcaster's bizarre behavior

There are some basic rules you follow as a sports broadcaster.

Apparently, MLB Network announcer Matt Vasgersian never got the memo.

He made two bizarre comments while showing video of an injury to the Colorado Rockies' Brad Hawpe. The analysts beside him were beside themselves. What's more he has the gall to ask the folks in the control room to replay the video so he can compare an EMT to Eagles QB Donovan McNabb. Wow. That's a no-no too.

Vasgersian has apologized for his poor timing for a "celebrity lookalike" moment.

At least he apologized later, which was the right thing to do. But his initial instincts troubled me...to do a comedic look-alike moment during a player injury. I'd like to think I'd have more sense than that, during something like that.
