There were a lot of people who purchased cars in Arlington last month pulling for the Rangers and against the Yankees this week. That's because, if you bought a car between March 1st and 21st at Vandergriff Honda and then the Rangers went 4-0 and the Yankees 0-4 to start the season, the car would be free. Now what are the chances that could happen? Probably 1 in a... well, 1 in a lot. Zelch! But just in case, the dealership bought a $1.5 million insurance policy. I spoke with Gene Jett, Director of Internet Sales for Vandergriff Thursday afternoon and he said they hope to give away some free cars. "We're pulling for the Rangers," Jett added. I bet they never thought it would get this close, but the Rangers have started 3-0 for the first time in 13 years. And the Yankees were 0-2 coming into Thursday afternoon's game with the Orioles. But Arlington car owners, get ready to make your first monthly payment. Leave it to the Yankees, they won today 11-2. |
