I'm not sure I'm beleiving what I'm seeing and I'm not just talking about Josh Howard's shot. After taping the high school, show I walked into my office here at the station just in time to see Howard's heave beat the halftime buzzer and find the bottom of the net. Then I see the score: 81 - 59. Wow! Its the most points the Mavs have scored in a half this season keyed by Jason Kidd's 16 assists - Wow! That ties his season high and is just 9 behind his career high of 25. The better sign for the Mav nation is how their team responded to the pressure of facing a Phoenix team that could have closed within 2 games of Dallas for the final spot in the Western conference playoffs. With all that being said though, my old intramural hoop team in college played better defense than the Suns in the first half. So let's not get too ahead of ourselves. |
