Jason Kidd and the Mavericks just had one heck of a first half against the Phoenix Suns. Kidd currently has 16 points and 16 assists. With his 14th assist to Josh Howard, Kidd passed Magic Johnson for 3rd all-time on the NBA assists list. He received a standing ovation while Dirk was shooting free throws prompting Kidd to say he had goosebumps but wanted the crowd to quiet down since Dirk was at the line. He gave all the credit to his teammates in helping him get to this point. A great honor for the ultimate team player.

Something to watch for in the 2nd half, the NBA record for assists in a game is 30.
