There is always time for some Dallas Cowboys news, even if it's about a backup offensive lineman.

The Cowboys re-signed guard/center Cory Procter to a one-year deal today.

Procter started 11 games at left guard in 2008, filling in for both Kyle Kosier and Montrae Holland who suffered injuries.

He has played both guard and center in his four seasons in Dallas.

He has started 13-of-32 regular season games the last two years for the Cowboys.

Procter signed with Dallas as rookie on Nov. 30, 2005 from the Detroit Lions practice squad after originally signing with Detroit following the 2005 NFL Draft as a rookie free agent out of Montana.

SportsTalk's David Marcus has some really good news that comes from Proctor staying.
