Cowboys re-sign Sam Hurd

The "Noodle" is sticking around for a while.

The Dallas Cowboys announced Monday they have re-signed restricted free agent wide receiver Sam Hurd.

It's not a surprise.

Hurd was tendered a one-year, $1.54 million contract. As a restricted free agent, if another team wanted to sign him the Cowboys would have gotten a second-round draft pick in return.

Hurd played in just three games in 2008 before landing on the reserve/injured list with a left ankle injury that required surgery.

In his three-year career in Dallas, Hurd has 24 receptions for 389 yards with one touchdown. He originally signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois and made the roster as a rookie in 2006.

It doesn't matter. Jerry Jones is still a
fool, and you can't fix that.
