A list of Texas' who's who at Opening Day

Was I at a Rangers' game today or was it a Lakers' game? Because the Rangers Ballpark at Arlington seemed more like the Staples Center with all the celebrities on hand taking in Opening Day.

Former President George W Bush, his wife Laura and their twin daughters Barbara and Jenna were there. The Governor of Texas, Rick Perry was there. Of course, the Tom Hicks family and Nolan Ryan family were in their seats along the first base line. Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones and wife Gene were a few seats away.

The Opening Day pregame ceremonies was quite a site to see. President Bush threw a strike when he delivered the first pitch to Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton. The National Anthem was played by the United States Army 4th Infantry Division Band. The 4th Infantry Division commander, Major general Jeffery Hammond was also a part of the opening ceremonies, along with former Navy Seal and author of Lone Survivor, Marcus Luttrell; and Vietnam Era Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, 1st Sgt. (Ret.) David McNerney. Two B-1 Bombers from the 9th Bomb Squad, 7th Bomb Wing from Dyess AFB flew over head. What a spectacle!

And the 9-1 Rangers win was icing on the cake.

With a headline like that, I was expecting a little more that this. I honestly didn't see one true celebrity in that list. I'm sure you meant well, but don't compare that list to a Lakers game. do not like.
