"I still do," Barea told me. ...
I feel like a broken record sometimes. It's almost comical, really, the number of former Dallas Cowboys arrested for drugs. While Jimmy Smith didn't make his name as a Cowboys, he was a second-round draft pick by the team in 1992 and left after the next season, he was an elite receiver in the NFL. If you recall, he had some off-the-fiel...
With all the talk about the Mavericks dismantling of the Spurs last night, I decided to switch gears a little bit. With it being Friday, let's have a little fun with this gem from the Phoenix Suns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUIg4IDH7io ...Terrell Owens is gone and so is safety Roy Williams. But it's the departure of Tank Johnson that concerns me. Johnson was not an impact player during his time in Dallas, but it's an important role. OK, so we knew the Mavericks were going to win Game 3, right? After all, the Mavs' record following blowout losses (16+ points) is now 10-1, including last night's win. But what will happen in Game 4? Let's look at what the Mavericks did throughout the season AFTER bouncing back from a blow-out loss. That is to say, they did a great job bouncing back all year, but then what did they do in the game immediately following? Their record in...
The Dallas Mavericks won't get too much time to savor their dominating win in game three of their series with the Spurs. The team practices at 11:30 this morning, a little less than 14 hours after they had wrapped up the 88-67 win Thursday night. The at 1:30 p.m. the Mavs will hold a press conference with little intrigue. It is then that it will become official that Jason Terry is the NBA's sixth man of the year. Take a break from Mavericks mania on Friday night and get set for this weekend's NFL Draft. Longtime Cowboys team insider Mickey Spagnola will join me live on Tylock Lasik SportsTalk Friday night at 6:30 PM on KFWD 52. Mickey knows the Cowboys about as well as anyone around and has been covering the team in some capacity for 20+ years. He'll talk about what areas the Cowboys are looking to address this weekend and wha...
