Cowboys coach Wade Phillips is at the owners meetings in California, and this morning spoke in front of cameras for the first time since the Monday December 29th, the day after the blow-out loss in Philadelphia. During the 10 minutes of video we had fed to us, Phillips talked about why he hasn't talked (basically because he doesn't see the need to continually re-hash last season), and about Terrell Owens (whom he had nothing but praise for, but said, "We feel like, we can go forward with the guys we have, we think we have some emerging players that will make a difference for us."). Phillips also mentioned that Tony Romo has been working out at Valley Ranch for two weeks, saying "we hadn't started our off-season program and he's been there two weeks already." Phillips expects a "break-out" season from Romo, simply because of the additional experience the quarterback will have entering the 2009 season. I'll have a story on Phillips' press conference tonight at 10:00. You can watch Coach Phillips' comments here. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

Was this Phillips model the marionette type, or the ventriloquist dummy type?
