It was only a matter of time. Brandon McCarthy is hurt once again. The right-handed pitcher has been scratched from his Friday start because of tightness in his right shoulder. Since he came over in the disastrous John Danks trade in 2007, McCarthy has found himself on the disabled list four times. For every glimmer of hope the Rangers' young studs offer us, there's leftover stuff like this to give us pause. Bad trades and the Texas Rangers go hand in hand like bread and butter. The Danks deal was probably one of the worst. Saying adios to Chris Young was another. This blog isn't meant to break down every bad Jon Daniels deal, but it just brings to mind the many mistakes the Boy Wonder has made in Arlington. I doubt many fans have much faith in McCarthy at this point. A healthy season would be a nice start. Lowering that career 4.54 ERA down from there can be goal number two. Proving Jon Daniels to be a genius would be a very distant goal number three. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

Glad to see an athlete who makes me look like Superman!! Hope he never has to work a real job. They should have an IV in him at all times!
