Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard will remain in Dallas and will miss the next two games in order to have more specialized testing done on his sore left ankle, according to a team spokeswoman. Howard, the team's third-leading scorer averaging 18 points, did not play in Saturday's win over Washington and sat out the second half of Thursday's loss at New Orleans. A sprained left ankle cost Howard 11 games in November and December. He aggravated the injury last Monday against Oklahoma City, but played the entire game Wednesday against San Antonio and started Thursday before leaving. (The Associated Press contributed info.) |
