| Looking For The Anti-T.O.? Try FC Dallas »
The Dallas Mavericks have hit a critical juncture in their road to the playoffs. They start a 4 game road swing this week starting tomorrow night in Phoenix. Actually, 8 of the Mavs next 11 games are on the road. Dallas currently sits 4.5 games back of San Antonio for 2nd place in the West, while they sit a much more manageable 2.5 games back of 3rd place Houston. Keep in mind 7 of the last 19 games are against teams ahead of Dallas in the standings and 2 are against the Suns who are currently 4 games back of Dallas for 8th. So, with those scenarios played out, the next 11 games are very critical for Dallas. Which team will show up? The team that won against San Antonio with Tim Duncan or the team that lost to Oklahoma City by 9 when the Thunder was without Kevin Durant and Jeff Green? No one had great expectations for Dallas at the start of this season, but with only 19 games left, a very strong close to the season could set them up with the 4 seed and home court advantage in the first round. Only time will tell, which Mavs team shows up? |
