The Dallas Cowboys have signed Chris Canty's replacement. From the Dallas Cowboys: The Dallas Cowboys signed defensive end Igor Olshansky (E-gor ol-SHAN-ski) to a four year deal today. He was originally a second round pick (35th overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Olshansky played five seasons with the Chargers starting 70-of-75 regular season games and totaling 187 tackles, 9.0 sacks, one interception and six pass breakups. He was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine and is the first player from the former Soviet Union to play in the NFL. Olshansky played three seasons for current Cowboys Head Coach Wade Phillips when he served as the defensive coordinator for the Chargers, 2004-06. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
