Chris Canty is one of those players Cowboys fans are really going to miss now that he's gone. Ends in the 3-4 defense aren't big play makers. They can't be. They're too busy occupying offensive linemen. Canty has been called a prototypical 3-4 end. He's big (6-7, 304) and athletic. The Cowboys took a chance on the Virginia product in the fourth round of the 2005 draft. He can also move inside on passing downs. What's worse is the Cowboys will now have to see him twice a year when they play the Giants. When he's driving the Cowboys line crazy, maybe the organization will appreciate him a little more. Especially when the Giants are running over the Cowboys on the other side of the ball too. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

I agree, I think Jerry should have worked harder to keep Canty. They picked him up when no one else wanted him because of his eye injury. They brought him along and he became a good player. Unfortunately they weren't able to pay him what he thought he was worth, due to salary cap problems. I think 07 and 08 where are chances to make SB, but unfortunately it just didn't happen. I don't think we'll be in that position this year unless we can pull something out of the draft or FA.
Another reason why Jerry Jones needs to fire the GM and hire another one!!!!!!!!!! Oh I forgot, Jerry have to fire himself............
