This Cowboys story about the hiring of Dan Reeves just gets stranger as we go. Reeves works at Valley Ranch 3 days then quits. He says it was because of one clause in the contract he couldn't accept, but won't say what it was. Reeves won't even say what his title was gonna be. He does say it wasn't general manager though because Jerry Jones isn't ever gonna give that title up. But Jones realizes he needs some help to get his team better, convinces Dan Reeves Sunday he's the guy who can help, Reeves takes the job and quits 3 days later. Reeves says if Jones would change that one clause in the contract, he'd come back in a minute. Don't hold your breath. Reeves is a man with a point of view, has an opinion and isn't afraid to say so. Jerry has to realize that the fan base is turning completely against him. If he doesn't concede he stands to lose more than Dan Reeves.
The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over. But looking for different results.
If Jerry realizes he needs help making this team better, then why does he continue to sign bad apples? It shouldn't take Dan Reeves to tell him to get rid of guys like T.O., Pacman, and Tank. If he really wants to make the Cowboys better then Mike Shanahan or Bill Cowher should be coach of this team.
Nothing but the loss of big bucks will get Jerrys attention. We have to boycott all things Cowboys, including official sponsors. Once they see their association with Jerry hurts them overall, then Jerry will see how stupid his actions are. But not until he loses a whole lot of money.
You assume too much. You assume that Jerry actually cares what the fans think! He cares about being in control and $$$$$.
The fans aren't in his radar.
