NASCAR is back for a new season and just like they always do they start with their best race and work their way backwards.

The Daytona 500 is the Super Bowl of racing, then a long season, then the 10 race playoffs and then it's over.

Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage explains it that it's that way because it has always been that way.

It is a strange sport.
