This is getting a little weird.

The Cowboys hire former NFL head coach and Cowboys running back and assistant coach Dan Reeves and then won't tell anybody.

After a report by ESPN today that Reeves is now working in his new office at Valley Ranch, I e-mailed a Cowboys public relations employee Jancy Briles and asked if she could confirm that Reeves is now working for the Cowboys.

Here was her response: "No I cannot - we can not comment."

Huh? First, to be fair to Jancy, this is not her decision but a directive, reportedly, from PR Director Rich Dalrymple.

Have you ever heard of a team hiring a big-name coach as a consultant and then refusing to tell anyone about it.

Things just keep getting wackier at Valley Ranch.

If I were Wade Phillips I'd be, at least, a little bit uncomfortable by all of this.

A quick side note, Jancy is the daughter of Baylor football coach Art Briles.
