Things like this aren't supposed to shock us anymore. But Alex Rodriguez was supposed to have this squeaky-clean image (well aside from the Madonna stuff). A-Rod was supposed to be a natural talent. He was supposed to not need steroids to be better than everyone else. He was supposed to be just that good. Apparently, he wasn't. What makes it worse is that he did it here. As a Texas Ranger. And the Rangers have had their share of steroid players, or at least many suspected and some like Jose Canseco and Rafael Palmeiro who admitted to it or tested positive. But what's even worse than that A-Rod (or A-Fraud, now) had his positive test in 2003, which is the year he won the American League MVP and the home run title. He had 47 home runs that year, fewer than the two previous seasons, which only adds to my suspicion now that he must have been doing roids before then too. It'd be one thing if Rodriquez had stayed mum on the steroids issue, but he hasn't. He said in an interview in 2007 he's never used performance-enhancing drugs. Now, shockingly (right?), he's not talking. Wonder why? I get it that if seemingly everyone is doing it, it's hard for players to just say no, but at some point you have to have integrity. We now know A-Rod has never had much of that. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

Why are we even talking bout this? He's a great regular season player and a crappy post season player, so it's obvious that if he did take steroids it didn't make a difference in the post season anyway. Let the yankees have him
What is the point in bringing this up now? he has made his money and has had his fame...let's just focus on the real matter....the economy! he his just another overpaid athlete in my opinion...
