Do you know any other sport where a team that plays in a non-championship game can still win the championship? Welcome to the wonderful world of the BCS. The Texas Longhorns will face Ohio State tonight, knowing if they happen to win big and the Sooners and Gators are less than spectacular in the BCS Title Game, they could finish number-1 in the Associated Press. But what good is this, really? They're bragging rights that few will pay attention to. This kind of wacked-out scenario will never change, until there is a true playoff system in college football. Take for example, a team like TCU. They beat undefeated Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl. They have a defense that could frustrate any offense in the nation. I'm sure many would be interested to see how TCU would then stack up against other schools in the top-10. How far could the Froggies go in the playoffs? We'll never find out. In the NFL, we see sleeper teams like the Eagles have a second life in the playoffs. Why not give the same opportunity to college football teams? Wake up, BCS. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

Follow the money. The BCS is here to stay until intelligence overcomes it.
