Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback "Pacman" Jones was released Wednesday and ESPN says it was because he tried to kill some guys in Atlanta. They're doing a big story on it Sunday morning on their program "Outside the Lines." They have three guys in silhouette, all friends, who didn't file any police report saying Jones threatened to shoot 'em, then have somebody else shoot 'em. We called ESPN thinking there had to be more to the story than that, not expecting 'em to tell us what it was, but just that there was something. ESPN says there's not. That's all there is. They're airing a story accusing "Pacman" Jones of trying to kill three guys because the three guys say so. That's quite a story. Jones says he's gonna sue ESPN. Says it's not true. And somewhere Edward R. Murrow is spinning in his grave. You can watch video of Dale's comments here 6 CommentsLeave a comment |

ESPN has been irresponsible in a lot of their broadcasts. A number of their sports announcers show bias and make disparaging remarks during football games, car races, basketball...you name it. They have gotten way too big for their britches over at ESPN. I hope Adam Jones does sue them and wins.
If they're going to be that sensationalist and biased, they might as well start reporting on presidential candidates.
I'm tired of all their bias towards Texas teams (Pro & college)!!! So I stopped watching their channels.
I love it when any Texas team does well....I'm sure it p*sses them off like it does the rest of the country!!! LOL!!!
God Bless TEXAS!!!
I agree, ESPN has not been responsible with this story. Do I care Pacman's out because of it? Not at all. I never wanted him here. Thanks for the story and falling on the sword ESPN, your my hero. Hope your lawyers are good. I don't want him back.
Well, we know they cant get trade rumors right. Why should we trust them on murder-for-hire plots?
May 'Outside the Lines' should spend a little time "inside the box" when it comes to journalistic integrity.
sigh.
My eyes deceive me--Dale is coming out in support of PacMan. This IS a headline. Based on football performance, I'd get Adam out of town, as well as his evil twin PacMan. There could be something to this story in Atlanta, but if these are the prime witnesses, forget it. Did they see OJ there to? Probably not--he doesn't have the money to buy an out-of-court settlement. This isn't the way Jerry wanted to clean house, but its a good start. TO, Flozell, the Roy Williams's, look out--there might be a new sheriff in town, in the new/meaner Wade. The new OJ, who was going to find the actual killers is quite another story.
